Description

The intent of this ILC/PT is to provide a means for the participant to determine the appropriateness and effectiveness of participant practices, training, and measurement uncertainty relating to testing, calibration and maintenance of a Nominal 10 V Reference Standard within the reported uncertainty of your measurement process with measurement stability in the 0.1 ppm range. This ILC/PT is limited to those having the ability to measure DC Voltage having uncertainty in the (2 to 10) µV / (1 to 2) ppm range. This test can be used in conjunction with a MAP program or used to supplement current calibration processes.

This ILC/PT kit contains a Fluke 732B DC Reference Standard. This kit is shipped "hot" using an overnight / next day shipping method during the standards work week (no shipping over weekends). Over the course of two days, participants will measure the 10 Volt Reference 6 times and report the average value of the artifact’s 10 Vdc output, the measurement uncertainty, and the deviation from the Nominal 10 Vdc.

Participants are expected to be familiar with calibration of, have appropriate lab equipment, including appropriate interconnecting cables and have measurement uncertainties appropriate for characterization of similar devices.

Enrollment is subject to technical approval by the NAPT Technical Manager.
