Sample Preliminary, Final, and Comparison Reports — Before You Enroll

NAPT is the only non-profit, ANAB-accredited PT provider under ISO/IEC 17043:2023. These are the same reports every participant receives, shown here with fictional data so you can see the format, the En-value analysis, and the peer comparison before you commit.

Preliminary Report

After you submit your measurement data, NAPT sends a preliminary report showing exactly what was received — before any scoring happens. This gives you a chance to confirm everything is correct, or flag a transcription error, before results are finalized.

The preliminary report lets you:

• Request a correction before the round closes
• Review the measurement data as NAPT received it
• Catch transcription or unit errors before scoring
• Confirm participant and instrument information is correct

Final Report

Once your project closes, NAPT issues a Final Report scoring your results against the assigned/reference value, using En-value statistics performed under ISO 13528. This is the report you’ll present at audit as objective evidence of your lab’s measurement capability. This report is often available within 3 business days.

The final report includes:

• Your submitted measurement results and stated uncertainties
• The assigned or reference value for each test parameter
• En-value calculations performed under ISO 13528
• A clear satisfactory / questionable / unsatisfactory determination for each result
• Your accreditation body-ready summary, formatted for direct submission

Comparison Report

Alongside your Final Report, for NAPT members, a Comparison Report showing how your lab’s results stack up against every other participating laboratory in the round — not just the reference value. Use it to spot outliers, benchmark performance, and support root-cause analysis if a result comes back questionable or unsatisfactory.

The comparison report includes:

• A full summary of all participating labs’ results for each parameter
• Visual distribution of results (histogram/plot) with your lab’s position marked
• Round-wide statistics — mean, standard deviation, robust statistics per ISO 13528
• De-identified peer data, so you can benchmark without seeing other labs’ identities
